Buying a new place can be distressing, especially in NYC. The only enjoyable moments are when you find that perfect place to commit too and the day you finally move into it. All the time in between is a coronary episode waiting to happen.

As our real estate lawyer, Stephen was gallaxy-size helpful in getting me and my fiancee through month-long headaches and stress, and really propelled us along with his expertise right up until closing. He was especially patient and did a great job explaining all the fine--and for sure overwhelming--details in buying a condo.

New York Law School Review

I'm not a student here, but here are my big SHINY stars dedicated to the faculty members and administrative staff at NYLS. I've dealt with several law school admissions/student record offices - some being reasonably helpful while others being unbearably unreliable. People at NYLS - including IT help desk, librarians, professors, counselors and administrative assistants - are the BEST team to work with. There's positive spirit everywhere...and you'd really want that in law school.

I got my law degree from here, working full time and attending evening classes.  NYLS offers an excellent PT evening program for students who have FT jobs.  If you attend FT, you're done in 3 years.  If you attend PT evening, you're done in 4.  But NYLS gives you the opportunity to work full time and still get your law degree.  5 stars for my alma mater!  P.S.  The criminal law professor is quite renowned.

The Taub Law Firm, PC Review

The world of personal injury law is full of lawyers who don't necessarily bring to mind the most positive of things.

Having  worked in the field myself, I've come in contact with many other PI attorneys and law firms. Kapsalis Associates PC Review

These guys are awesome. I had them handle a legal matter that cannot be disclosed publicly. They went above and beyond what i expected. I have always been skeptical of lawyers. John Kapsalis has taken some of that skepticism away. His firm was a pleasure to deal with. They made every deadline on time or early. The bill did not cause me to have to sell my left arm either. Kapsalis Associates are my lawyers for anything moving forward. I hope I don't need to call on them again, but if I do, I know that the matter will be handled effectively.

Serpico & Siddiqui Review

First experience with any legal eagles in the city.. I usually try and avoid anything to do with law in New York. However, feeling left out of the great American depression of 2007 I jumped aboard the ship of property ownership and Serpico & Serpico helped me aboard. I was initially referred three firms and gave them all calls. John Serpico fielded my initial call. He not only impressed a professional approach but also a human one which ultimately won the firm the job. He also presented in a clear manner the processes which property transactions in NY go through before I signed up which other firms seemed reluctant to do.

After signing up John handed my case to his partner Rashida Siddique and I have no complaints. Rashida displayed the same level of professionalism and knowledge. During property transactions the only person that really ever represents the buyer is your attorney (buyer real estate brokers do not necessarily represent the buyer since you do not pay them). Because of this it's essential that you find an attorney that you are happy working with because they will have to look out for your interests during the transaction. I have no hesitation recommending John and Rashida at Serpico, Serpico & Siddique.

Doug Bend Review

I've worked with countless attorneys over the year and Doug is easily the best. Doug is the most responsive individuals I've had the pleasure to work with, and has a great network which he has made available to me for my every need. He has guided me through both a start up and an acquisition, and he even helped me with payment terms since I was short on cash at inception.

The last thing I will add is that I was impressed with Doug's integrity for two very big and very important reasons. First, typical lawyers spend a great deal of time thinking of ways to bill their clients. Doug is very straight forward and only bills for the time he actually spends working with me. It almost seems too good to be true. Secondly, when I needed some work done in another state, rather than just jump at the chance for additional billable hours, Doug noted that he didn't feel 100% comfortable advising me in a state in which he didn't have expertise, and referred me to a colleague.

Tobener Law Center Review

Joe Tobener is an extremely conscientious, reliable and honest guy. You will not meet too many people like him. While he is skilled in his craft, he is the very first lawyer I have dealt with who truly gives a shit about his clients. He is very knowledgeable and completely humble. No lawyer attitude yet a comprehensive legal knowledge and the gumption to stick up for his clients rights. His fees are beyond reasonable and he doesn't watch the clock like so many other lawyers. If you need a lawyer for tenant rights, he only works for tenants. He doesn't play both sides which is a testament to his character.

Lawyer Tax Review

I owe income tax this year both to federal and state, and figured I would need to hire someone like David to help me manage the process. I was already mentally figuring how much I would have to budget to get all of this done, in addition to stressing out about paying the tax bills.

I emailed David and much to my surprise, he answered all my questions promptly and without telling me I'd have to schedule time to meet with him. So basically I got everything I needed gratis. I even pressed my luck and went back and forth with questions a few times and not once did he tell me that I needed to retain him as counsel.

I am now confident in what I need to do to deal with the IRS and didn't have to waste time or money. What a fabulous service and a great guy of high integrity. If I need this kind of service in the future he will be the first person I call.
